Pearls of Wisdom
Being a human is exceptional. Death comes instantly. If there are things to do, they shall be somethings indispensable for the world. Things that your absence cause no consequence and your presence contributes little to the world may be left to the loiterers.

People are always bustling through their lives. Who will cultivate before their deaths? Everyone is always busy; nonetheless, a snake must straighten itself while getting through a narrow pipe. It is always beneficial for people who attend the teaching classes regardless of their comprehension. They will transform themselves gradually for the causal seeds they have planted.
Buddha Jigong
Renounce fame and material gain, you can transcend the worldly life; Forget life and death, you may enter the path of sages. One whose resolve is not obstructed by the lure of fame and accomplishment is a sage. One whose heart is not swayed by wealth and rank in a virtuous person.

The pursuit of the Truth is humanity's highest aspiration, and the proclamation of the Truth is its most sacred responsibility. Therefore, a lecturer is a promoter of Tao, a caregiver for all beings, a preacher of the Gospel, a life-giving spring in the wilderness, a guide for the lost, and a chef who provides spiritual food.

Life is but a stage, and you are one of its actors. Do not act recklessly simply because the play is not ultimately real, for others will judge you as irresponsible. Perform your role with all your heart, as if it were real—but never be fooled into believing that the role is your true self.

It is easier to walk while carrying a cup that is half full of water than one that is filled to the brim. This is what is meant by the saying: “Pride leads to loss; humility brings benefit.”

Being humans in this world, shall we assume more divine duty and gradually relinquish our mundane chores? It is important to ferry people. Nevertheless, it is more demanding to ferry ourselves. For there is not mush time left, we shall rush to accomplish what we shall and what we want. Do not wait till the last day when it becomes unattainable.

Birth and death (reincarnations) are the most serious matters. Instead of seeking to emancipate from immense suffering of birth and death, all of you pursue relentlessly only tainted merits. How can it bring you salvation if your self-essence remains ignorant?
Sixth Patriarch Sutra
A jūnzǐ (noble person) does not make himself merely a single-purpose tool. (A jūnzǐ shall be versatile and competent.)

Do not enter a state that is in danger; do not reside in a state that is in turmoil. Serve the state openly when good governance and moral principles prevail; withdraw from public affairs when corruption and injustice dominate.
